Q: What is injection sclerotherapy?

A: An FDA-approved solution called Sotradecol® is injected into the vein through a microneedle to induce an inflammatory reaction, which causes the vein to seal shut and gradually shrink away and disappear. Once the vein is sealed, blood is forced into healthier veins. Sotradecol® gives much better results and is far less painful than the traditional hypertonic saline injections.

Many believe there is a relationship between Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) and varicose veins as healthy veins return blood to the heart. A: The hemorrhoid is actually present in all human bodies. When hemorrhoids are functioning properly their job is to prevent unwanted leakages. When there is a problem with the hemorrhoid it becomes swollen and varicose veins develop on the lower rectum and anus. The supporting tissues surrounding the veins become inflamed and can cause extreme itching, irritation and discomfort.
